Axe Falls On Flyers

Philly is cleaning house. After Robert Esche’s clinic on how not to goaltend in a National Hockey League game, the likes of Petr Nedved, Nolan Baumgartner and some other guy all were put on waivers. This following an embarrassing national televised 9-1 spanking on behalf of the now 6-0 Buffalo Sabres.

In other news Jeff Halpern misses a wide open net. Well not really news, just same ol’. Actually he was the closest one to scoring on Dallas’ team. I know cause I watched it on Yahoo of all places.

1) If you saw the game, and we hope you did, you would have known that Esche was NOT the reason for the drubbing
2) If he played poorly it might have been 12 or 15 to 1. He kept the Flyers in the game far longer than they deserved

Wow your on top of me today... You are right, Esche was not responsible for a good majority of the goals scored against him, but he let some softies by. And he was a trooper for sticking that game out as Hitchcock fed him to the wolves. I did watch the whole game and I would say that 5 out of the 9 goals he should have had or been in better position. But it is true, that the Flyers just sort of stopped playing for him in the second.
